An A5 fold-out booklet for mental health organisation Mindtime for their ‘work and play’ program. The booklet is for those enrolled in the program who may be burnt out from working too much and would be used with the purpose on educating people on the importance of resting and work/ life balance. The post-it note colour has been applied to symbolise how peoples literal and figurative workspaces can get covered in pending duties that feel like they are never ending. Another symbol used is the plug/ cord which symbolises how modern technology has blurred working limitations as we are now always plugged into our work. The booklet is designed as as a hypothetical board game, with the game path as a cord and stylistic components of collage, my own handwritten type and the bright lime green post-it note colour.
The booklet is only designed like a board game to demonstrate that regardless of how much we get done and how quickly we do so, working is not the only thing that makes our lives fulfilling. The writing is limited and images are used to trigger thoughts and emotions.
